World Food Day Call to Action - #ToastAFarmer

Ministry of Trade, Industry & Cooperatives GoU On behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) and the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) and our Collaborators, we have the pleasure to invite you to the International World Food Day Celebrations which will take place at Rwebitaba Zonal Agricultural Research and Development Institute – Kyembogo Station on Friday 16th October, 2015.

The theme of the day is “Social Protection and Agriculture: Breaking the Cycle of Rural Poverty”.

The World Food Day is celebrated every year globally and here in Uganda it is coordinated by MAAIF and FAO. 

The major activities will include the demonstrations (Agricultural, Livestock, Fisheries, Forestry, etc), cultural entertainments, speeches and keynote addresses among others.

The purpose of this communication is to invite you to participate in the activities (demonstrations, exhibitions) and celebrations. If you intend to have a demonstration plot, you are requested to contribute UGX 200,000 for preparation and maintenance. In case you only need to exhibit your products that day, you are requested to contribute UGX 100,000 only to book space in a tent. Should you intend to have demonstration plots, please book by 15th July 2015. Exhibitors are advised to display their exhibitions on Thursday 15th October 2015.
